Senior Principal Power Electronics Engineer – Wiltshire

ARCA Resourcing is looking for multiple experienced Senior Principal Power Electronics Engineers at all levels to join a client based in Wiltshire, they are permanent and ranging between £60,000 – £90,000 per annum.

You’ll be working technologies in products, working with NPI and wider research teams to consider all aspects of complex products including thermals, optics, electromagnetics, aero-acoustics, mechanical design, microbiology and machine learning.

Senior Principal Power Electronics Engineer key responsibilities:

• Manage your time and tasks and assist with project plans, reporting your progress.
• Generate concepts of new power electronic systems and present your ideas.
• Design of both mains and battery powered power electronics hardware.
• Design to meet global compliance, safety and EMC standards for the product.
• SPICE simulations to show plausibility of electronic designs.
• Schematic capture and PCB layout of designs.
• Thermal management design of power electronics.
• Hand soldering and build of individual prototype electronics using mixed technology components.
• Testing and validation of prototypes
• Document work in well-written, precise reports and produce condensed information and imagery for presentations to senior management.

Senior Principal Power Electronics Engineer skills and experience:

• Applicants should specialise in power electronics for this role and have a broad knowledge of electronics
• Degree (or equivalent) in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, or other relevant discipline, or a demonstrable level of industrial experience in a relevant industry
• Demonstrable background in Power Electronics
• Demonstrate the ability to research and innovate
