Senior Practice Accountant

Salary: £48,000 per year

Senior Practice Accountant (Ideally ACCA/ACA or equivalent but may consider part-qualified depending on experience)

Location: Hove, East Sussex, BN3 3YN.

Salary: £40,000+ pro-rata depending on experience.

Contract: Full time or at least minimum of 25 hours per week

TaxAssist Accountants are the largest network of accountants, currently working from over 300 locations throughout the UK, and now expanding into Ireland, Australia, Canada, and the United States. We are a Times top 25 accountancy company which is owned by the franchisees and managers.

We focus our accountancy skills specifically on small businesses and taxpayers needing a tax return in the UK. They specialise in providing accountancy services, tax returns, payroll, bookkeeping, tax savings, and tax advice to small businesses. Together we have over 100,000 clients including 40,000 limited companies.

We are seeking a dynamic senior accountant to join our growing office based in Hove. Full time or part-time with minimum 25 hours per week. So are you:

The Job is:

You will be 2nd in command to the MD but you will be empowered to take control of the practice and drive standards and fees upwards and help the business grow. The ultimate goal is to increase fee income by 4x over 5 to 10 years as there is huge opportunity to expand towards Brighton.

You have ultimate responsibility of delivering accountancy and tax services to the client base but at the same time you will be fully supported by a team of 6 people.

You will have all the assistance and training you need but this role definitely requires a go-getter personality.

A broad background of experience is required including accounts, general tax, VAT, tax technology including Dext & Quickbooks and a track record of supervising staff and dealing with clients face to face.

A particular feature of this practice is our drive towards providing financial services through the newly formed TaxAssist Financial Services and you will become involved in helping this new initiative succeed.

Job location:

You will have a private office in our Hove office. We intend to expand into Brighton as soon as this is feasible.
