Senior Planning Officer

Salary: £26,000 – £27,178 per year

Opus People Solutions are recruiting for a Senior Planning Officer to join North Northamptonshire Council for a 6 month contract. This role does not require any line management of staff

As a Senior Planning Officer you will need to do site visits and possibly ad-hoc developer meetings and attend planning committees for their applications.

The successful candidate must have:

· Experience of dealing with major planning applications – including large scale residential projects over 100 units (reserved matters and outlines), large scale commercial and other complex or controversial projects

· Experience of EIA development

· Experience of the above with pre-application enquires

· Experience of discharge of planning conditions and post decision enquires

· Will be required to present your applications to Planning Committee therefore experience in this regard is essential.

Key skills

· Good communications skills and proactive approach are imperative.

· Excellent breadth of planning experience

· Ability to independently lead projects.

· Role does not require any line management of staff.
