Senior Pension Plan Accountant:

I am currently partnered with a with a leading national consultancy supporting them in their search to appoint a Senior Pension Accountant to help lead the team’s development through 2024.
This role sits within our clients Third Party Administration Finance Team and would generally see you maintain an efficient pensions accounting service to allocated clients whilst assisting and supporting the wider team as required.
Key responsibilities will include:
• Overseeing the preparation and reviewing of Pension Scheme Trustee Reports & Accounts in line with SORP.
• Maintenance of ledgers and reviews of quarterly financial statements.
• Assisting with cash flow forecasting and pension scheme budgeting.
• Ensuring the investment portfolio accounting is delivered in line with SORP and Scheme accounting policies.
• Implement changes in line with statutory legislation and Accounting Standards of Recommended Practice.
• Review cash flow forecasting, management accountant and budgeting.
• Complete Inland Revenue processes for Self-Assessment and VAT.
• Liaise with stakeholders, clients, and auditors on the preparation of Trustee Reports.
• Liaise with auditors to resolve queries and to ensure completion of Report & Accounts.
In terms of experience, our client is seeking somebody who has experience of preparing annual pension scheme reports and accounts, has a detailed knowledge of both DB & DC pension arrangements and is happy to work in a collaborative and growing environment.
