Senior Mechanical Handling Designer

The Role:

Due to natural attrition, my client is looking to recruit a Senior Design Engineer for mechanical handling / overhead conveyor systems. You will have a considerable amount of industry expertise and know how.

Key Responsibilities/Attributes Required:

– The successful candidate must be able to design a conveyor system from a Sales Engineer’s preliminary layout.
– This will include designing support steelwork and correctly sizing the drive unit according to the loading on the system.
– AutoCAD 2D (some 3D skills could be useful).
– Project Management expertise.
– Strong communicator, liaising with suppliers, customers and design.
