Senior IT Engineer / Senior Infrastructure Engineer / 3rd Line

Shortlist Recruitment have a great opportunity for a Senior IT Engineer / Senior Infrastructure Engineer / 3rd Line Support Engineer to work within a well funded innovative technology led organisation at their head office in Birmingham.

As a Senior IT Engineer / Senior Infrastructure Engineer / 3rd Line Support Engineer you’ll be responsible for the design, deployment and support of all Microsoft Infrastructure technologies (Windows Server, Windows Desktop, Exchange, Active Directory). Ideally we need someone who is passionate leading the design and delivery of infrastructure platforms across a rapidly growing business.

Experience required for the Senior IT Engineer / Senior Infrastructure Engineer / 3rd Line Support Engineer role:

– Extensive and proven experience designing, managing, and administering environments in Enterprise sized organisations across multiple sites.
– Experience of designing, managing and administering network infrastructure in Enterprise sized organisations across multiple sites.
– Experience of migrations of Microsoft technologies from one major version to another, for example Windows Server 2003 to Windows Server 2008.
– Experience of Networking technologies (wired and wireless) and strong understanding of firewalls and network security
– Experience of using Microsoft Infrastructure technologies

The Senior IT Engineer / Senior Infrastructure Engineer / 3rd Line Support Engineer role requires knowledge of the following technologies:

– Windows XP, 8, 8, 8.1
– Windows Server 2003, 2008, 2012
– Active Directory
– DHCP
– DNS
– Exchange Server 2010, 2013
– Office 365
– MS Data Protection Manager
– VEEAM
– Symantec
– Acronis

If you hold any certifications (MCP, MCSA/E, MCITP etc.) this would be beneficial, but not essential.
