Location: Littlemore MH Centre, OX4 4XN (Hybrid Role- plus travel to other sites possible)

What you’ll be responsible for:

  • Supporting the HR Team in providing advice, support and facilitation to ensure that the Trust is able to develop and deliver a People & OD Strategy that responds to identified service needs and to national and local performance targets.
  • Provide a comprehensive, proactive and professional expert HR advisory service to line managers across the Trust. This will include:
  • Supporting the HR Consultant in leading and implementing organisational change;
  • Providing expert advice and guidance on aspects of employment law and best practice;
  • including the management of a defined Employee Relations case load.
  • Interpretation and application of AFC terms and conditions
  • Enabling managers to understand their duties and to make informed decisions on HR
  • Issues
  • Advising on and interpretation of HR policies and procedure, including complex employee relations matters.

You’ll learn the following whilst working at the trust:

  1. An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS
  2. Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times
  3. A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation

You’ll have the following skills/experience:

  • Excellent communication skills- both verbal and written
  • Microsoft office skills- Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
  • Previous NHS experience
  • Previous HR experience
  • NHS System Knowledge- ESR and Trac (desirable)

This role may require you to show evidence of education to Degree level or Professional HR Qualification or at least 2 years relevant HR experience.
