Senior Geotechnical Engineer

Salary: £300 – £420 per day

Senior / Principal Geotechnical Engineer – Required to join a specialist design consultancy based near Rugby. The company the Geotechnical Engineer will be working for provide advice on all aspects of geotechnical foundation and construction work. The Senior Geotechnical Engineer will be reporting to the Technical Director, leading projects and delivering geotechnical solutions on time and to budget.

The Senior / Principal Geotechnical Engineer will be proactive and producing fee proposals to win projects to enhance the current work portfolio. This opportunity would be perfect for an Engineer that has 4 + years’ experience with the ability to provide high quality, designs for exciting and challenging projects. Projects include pile design, foundation design, retaining wall, slope stabilisation, soil nailing, reinforced soil, ground improvement, earthworks and working platform design

Senior Geotechnical Engineer Position Overview

Managing and providing project geotechnical design work from assessment of geotechnical information
Production of detailed design calculations and reports
Preparing fee proposals.
Site and Design meetings
Supporting, managing and developing Graduate Geotechnical Engineers
Provide solutions to a range of projects within the geotechnical field

Senior Geotechnical Engineer Position Requirements

BSc or BEng in Civil engineering or engineering geology
MSc/PhD in Geotechnical Engineering
Knowledge of fundamental soil mechanics principles
Wide range of Design experience
of producing fee proposals
