Senior Geotechnical Engineer

Salary: £42,000 – £54,000 per year

Senior Geotechnical Engineer – £35-£45K – Leeds

We are currently working with a multi-displianry consultancy who are seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join their team in Leeds.

The Senior Geotechnical Engineer will be expected to be technically proficient in the day to day delivery of projects and will provide technical support to our Infrastructure and Structural Engineering teams.

The Senior Geotechnical Engineer will provide geotechnical designs and assist in the delivery of site investigation projects.

The role of the Senior Geotechnical Engineer will include:

* Geotechnical design of slopes, retaining structures, settlement analysis, earthworks and foundation engineering,

* together with the preparation of desk studies, supervision of fieldworks and interpretative report writing.

Requirements:

* A relevant science or engineering degree (e.g. civil engineering).

* A Masters degree with geotechnical focus is desirable.

* At least five years of relevant post-graduate geotechnical experience, both design and investigation focussed.

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to generate reports and provide technical reviews.

* Ability to deliver projects and work within a multi-disciplinary consultancy.

* Chartered status (CEng or CGeol) with a relevant professional body, e.g. ICE or Geological Society (or working towards);

* Clean UK driving licence.

* Should also be knowledgeable about Euro Code 7 (EC7).
