Salary: £54,000 – £60,000 per year

Senior Financial Accountant – West Yorkshire – £45,000 – £50,000 & Great Benefits & Hybrid Working

Chase & Holland are excited to be working with a UK leading business in its field to recruit a Senior Financial Accountant into their team for a newly created position. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a forward thinking and dynamic business who are seeking an individual who will be responsible for leading an efficient, well performing finance team. You will provide high quality management, financial and statutory reporting to the financial controller and aid the decision making of the Board.

Senior Financial Accountant Responsibilities:
 

• Business partnering the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and wider finance team, providing reporting and analysis, focusing on performance against forecast
• Assist in the preparation and submission of statutory accounts, group reporting and in compliance with legislation and accounting frameworks
• Assist in annual planning and reforecasting activity
• Assist in understanding of fixed versus variable costs including driving understanding of how to best influence
• Managing, mentoring and coaching of a team of 3 finance assistants/ analysts
• Assist with audit preparation, management and liaising with auditors
• Provide support to the SLT to ensure they are working in line with accounting procedures and statutory requirements

Preferred Skills & Experience:

• Actively studying later stages or Qualified Accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) with strong financial accounting experience
• Experienced in business partnering and stakeholder management, with the ability to influence
• Proven experience in leading and mentoring a team
• Strong statutory accounts, tax and audit experience
• You will naturally display gravitas and assertiveness
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
