Salary: £48,000 – £72,000 per year

Senior Electronics Engineer – Essex

£40,000 – £60,000

This is an amazing opportunity to work for a company who design various electronic products. The successful candidate will be at the forefront of pushing the new products to market and evolve existing products.

In this position you will undertake electronic engineering work. This includes hardware and firmware design and testing. Propose new ideas that can be integrated to future electronic designs. Also, recommend and try out new software techniques for firmware development that can optimise various aspects of future projects (code execution time, power management, etc.). Study existing products to fix the electronics/firmware problems. Develop know-how in conducting specialist work (microcontrollers, programming languages C/C++…).

Knowledge and Experience:

Higher degree in Electronics.
10+ years of working experience developing electronics for real world applications, including schematic design and PCB Layout using (Altium Designer, Eagle, etc.)
Analogue and digital design (PCB layout, power supply, ADC, DAC, voltage regulation, low-power, embedded electronics, battery powered devices, small signal analogue electronics, transimpedance amplifiers.)
Good knowledge of Microcontrollers and how to integrate them in designs (for example STM32 32-bit ARM M3/M4, PIC 8/16 bit, Atmel AVR, Microchip).
Experience working with Serial Protocols such as I2C, SPI, UART/USART, CAN and sensor integration over I2C, SPI, CAN, etc.
Good programming skills in C/C++ for firmware development (for example ARM STM32 Cortex-M and/or PIC 8/16 bit and/or Atmel AVR). We mainly develop firmware based on STM32 Cortex-M systems in embedded C.
Flexibility to fill in gaps in projects such as sourcing parts, build or modify equipment and so on.
