Senior Database Analyst – Travel Company

A global travel business with a plethora of travel community data is looking for a Senior Database Analyst to join their team in the heart of Soho. With the world on your doorstep, you’ll perform analytics on the company’s giant data warehouse to glean valuable customer insights and maximise client revenue.

Some of your tasks & responsibilities:
– Develop and monitor KPIs to advertising clients (i.e. online booking websites, airlines, hotel chains and more) as well as internally
– Make strategic recommendations based on the insights from your data analysis
– Provide business analysis for various teams within the business to understand travellers through data findings
– Mine data to build market and business intelligence
– Create beautiful visualisations and dashboards to present to and inform clients

What you’ll need:
– Advanced knowledge of SQL
– Experience analysing ‘big data’ for an online business
– Fantastic communication skills with the ability to deliver clear, digestible information to a variety of stakeholders and clients
– The perfect combination of analytical and creative skills, with a passion for using data to discover what makes people tick

Nice to have (but not essential):
– Experience of PostgreSQL databases
– Hadoop / Hive experience
– A background in online advertising / media / publishing / search engines / travel
– Experience with data visualisation tools such as Tableau
– A desire to learn all of the above – and more
