Looking for an experienced Oracle DEVOPS DBA to join the 3rd Line Apps Support team in Chippenham.

The Role:

Senior Database Administrator who will be expected to be a leading contributor individually and as a team member, at times providing direction and mentoring to others.

This role is focused on development / operations, responsible for the maintenance and management of the clients existing databases and the development of new environments to support the organisations services. As a senior member of the technical staff the successful candidate will provide complete Life-Cycle Management of the Databases and Application Servers.

You will be maintaining existing client databases, developing new environments to support the organisations services and be involved in the complete life-cycle management of database and application servers.

Key skills and competencies required

* Extensive expertise in Oracle is required.

* Current, practical and extensive experience managing large databases and supplying quality, dependable, secure database services.

* Extensive knowledge of database technologies and capabilities.

* Experience developing and administering data standards, policies and procedures.

* Responsible for quality.

* Ability to effectively communicate and describe work details and relevant technical matters, both orally and in writing.

* Several years commercial experience in relevant fields
