Senior Commercial Manager

Salary: £84,000 per year

Our client is a principal contractor within the Utilities industry.

The Opportunity:

For this Senior Commercial Manager position, primarily you will be part of the commercial team within their Utilities Business responsible for leading on their successful Severn Trent Framework which has a portfolio of up to £40 million.

Some of the key responsibilities for this successful person would be but no limited to:

• Reporting into the Principal Commercial Manager, you will be part of the framework in developing and implementing commercial strategies for successfully winning bids and managing post contract activities.
• Comfortable working within a team of 9.
• Providing and leading commercial support to deliver positive P&L results across a portfolio of contracts and bids up to the value of £40m.
• Help develop the team to ensure accurate reporting and contractual compliance.
• Deliver the pre and post contract opportunity and risk process including mitigation of risks.
• Negotiate with key customer interfaces.
• Deliver robust commercial solutions in all bids and develop good strategies for further improving cash flows within this part of the business.
• Support post contract activity.
• Build excellent working relationships with key stakeholders in the business and the Head of Commercial.

The Candidate:

The successful Senior Commercial Manager will be/have:

• Experience in a similar role is important
• Relevant NEC 3/4 experience, preferably Utilities (water) background
• Agile and focussed commercial professional
• Commercial Degree or Equivalent
• Utilities experience desirable, someone from a Civil Engineering background is ideal
• Advanced knowledge of MS Office – Excel, Word & PowerPoint
