We are looking for a Senior Commercial Analyst to join our I&C team based at Solihull, on a hybrid basis.

Here’s what you’ll be doing

E.ON is a leading £5 billion revenue business with a vision to become the number one B2B energy supplier in the UK. We serve approximately 60,000 customers and manage around 300,000 meter points in the Industrial and Commercial (I&C) sector.

Our I&C team is currently seeking a Senior Commercial Analyst to join us. This is an exciting opportunity where you will play a crucial role in developing the I&C strategy and business plan, with a focus on all I&C segments. Your responsibilities will include developing, modelling, and evaluating the strategic and commercial aspects that maximize both short-term profitability and long-term business value. To be successful in this role, you should have strong analytics and modelling experience, and be able to provide valuable insights to enhance our strategic decision-making processes.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Articulate, robust and accurate approval papers that effectively summarise highly complex deal structures to gain support from the appropriate approval authority.
  • Collaborate with business teams to provide commercial solutions, support initiatives, and maximise value.
  • Work with stakeholders to translate market insight into usable intelligence to inform commercial innovation and product development.
  • Offer recommendations for optimising products, prices, and customer numbers.
  • Calculate and communicate net margin and risk scenarios which may drive changes to business plan assumptions to optimise value across multiple financial periods.

What we need from you

  • Proficiency in analysing and interpreting diverse, complex data sources.
  • Experience of building complex analytical models through Excel, Access, and other software.
  • Ability to write concise and compelling business cases, proposals, and papers at senior management level.
  • Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of commercial management.
