We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Clinical Lead to join us in the North East!
Interviews for this role will be taking place w/c 29th January 2024 and Monday 5th February.
About the role
As Senior Clinical Lead you will be responsible for assisting the Head of Specialist Residential Services in leading the development, implementation and continuation of the highest professional standards of clinical practice to ensure we deliver a high quality service in line with all relevant internal and external standards, and in line with commissioner requirements.
The post holder will provide support to the Head of Specialist Residential Services in providing clinical leadership to the team.
Key responsibilities:
- Responsible for the leadership and support of Clinical Leads across all specialist residential services. Clinical Leads will report to the Senior Clinical Lead regarding their clinical work and related performance and standards. Reports directly to Head of Specialist Residential Services.
- Ensures that Clinical Leads work as a team, aligned to individual services whilst operating as a service-wide team with flexibility and shared skills, knowledge and support. Coordinates the work of Clinical Leads across residential services.
- Supports Clinical Leads to focus upon service users, through their caseloads, the clinical team and the clinical elements of their role, including day-to-day availability and presence for service users.
- Leads the development of positive, productive relationships between Clinical Leads, Operational Support and the governance team to ensure compliance, governance and non-clinical elements of the Clinical Lead job description are met.
- Provides dedicated clinical leadership for Clinical Leads, both individual and group, including training, clinical supervision, appraisal and support on a day-to-day basis.
- Ensures shared clinical and management responsibility and accountability for services, specifically around safety, quality and standards, via positive, productive relationships and close working with Service Managers, including clinical and operational assurances to the Head of Specialist Residential Services and support to Service Managers with their day-to-day line management of Clinical Leads.
- Works closely with the Head of Service Development around local and national guidance, best practice and quality standards
- Undertake any reasonable duties/responsibilities to meet the needs of the organisation.
About you:
- NMC Registered Mental Health Professional
- Ability to CQC Nominated Individual Status
- Significant experience of working with people with complex mental health needs
- Substantial experience on CQC and other governing bodies guidelines, assessments and requirements
- Significant post registration experience
- Significant experience of meeting agreed performance targets in a service demonstrating clinical outcomes
- Significant experience of working with people who have experienced common mental health problems i.e. anxiety / depression
- Significant experience in robust risk management processes
