This large UK Electrical Retailer, are going through an exciting period of development and growth.

In order to help achieve their ambitions, the company are now looking to recruit a dynamic and energetic Category Manager based at their Head Office in High Wycombe, and out in the field to focus their energies on driving the sales of value added services through the retail channel.

Reporting into the Commercial Director, as the Category Manager you will be responsible for implementing and driving the sales and marketing strategy relating to the sale of value added services and non-core products through the organisations network of Retail outlets and Boutique concessions.

An exciting opportunity the key responsibilities of the role will include, but not be limited to the following:

work closely with the Commercial Director and senior commercial team to define the services sales strategy
To take responsibility for the day to day trading of the services category, analysing competitor activity, the impact on the category trading plan and the subsequent accurate reforecasting of the business as required to take account of movements in the market to ensure the company Budgeted sales revenue and product margin are achieved
To take responsibility for the reporting and analysing of the category performance
To work with the Marketing and on-line team to brief and create the POS, instore and on-line collateral needed to deliver the promotional plan
To work closely with retail sales team to ensure that they understand sales objectives, the sales strategy and what is required to successfully deliver the plan.
To support and lead the negotiation with key supply partners to ensure products margins are maintained/improvedAn exciting and challenging role, the ideal candidate will have a strong background in the retail channel and category management. They may have been involved in Category Management, Retail Operations and/or Purchasing, preferably gained from within a major retail chain that sells products and services.

The individual will have proven experience and an ability to work within an entrepreneurial and fast-paced retail company.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a track record of developing and implementing sales and marketing strategies that incorporate both in store and on line marketing campaigns.

The candidate will have strong communication/influencing skills, combined with an ability to work with the different teams and commercial partners
