About the Company
ODK Care Hotels LTD – Strathmore Lodge are a relatively small residential care home for the elderly. We have a maximum capacity of 19 residents. Some talk about being person-centred, whilst we do. We provide an exceptional, homely, friendly and relaxed environment for residential and dementia care for older people in the heart of St Albans. We have a fantastic reputation amongst the people in the area.
We have an extremely low turnover of staff, which is fantastic for our residents, the manager and for all the staff. The residents are at the centre of everything that we do and are included in the running of the home. We have 19 residents who want 19 things done in 19 different ways and we adapt to their requirements.
The ethos of our company is to keep things simple, remembering that people are at the heart of everything that we do. We aim to provide personalised care for each one of our residents in a supportive, encouraging, and loving environment to promote independence and dignity. What does this Senior Carer job involve?
Hours of Work:18 – 48 Hours Per Week (Depending on Requirement) – Shifts: 08:00 – 14:00 / 14:00 – 20:00 / 08:00 – 20:00
As an individual, you can take on as much additional responsibility and roles as you desire. We have a very flat management structure; managers, senior carers, and carers.
- Our daily duties involve supporting and engaging with individuals receiving care, ranging from minimal assistance to tasks like meal support and personal care.
- Residents are our priority and as part of a close-knit team, you’ll promote independence, providing both physical and emotional assistance.
- You will also handle medication administration, liaise with healthcare professionals, and contribute to care plan updates and creation.
