Senior Care Assistant / Senior Support Worker (Nights)

We urgently require friendly and compassionate senior night carer to work for a leading care provider in a well-established care home helping to care for over 65s with Dementia.

Benefits
– Guaranteed 33 hours p/week (Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday nights)
– Rate £26,000 per year
– Shift work

Requirements
– Must have experience working with dementia clients
– You must be a patient and caring individual who is committed to helping others in need
– Able to pass a DBS check
– Must be a driver to get to and from the Care Home

Care Duties
– Attend to the wishes and comfort, personal appearance and hygiene of all residents at all times
– Take chart observations of residents including weight, food and liquid intakes/ outputs
– Complete and update care plans and records
– Assist and actively encourage the social care and the well-being of residents
– Assist with the reception and orientation of new residents in a reassuring manner
– Prepare food trays and eating areas. Help with meal preparation and be on hand to assist any residents with eating as required
– Make beds and change linen
– Escort residents to hospital, dentist, shops or other approved excursions as required
