Salary: £42,000 – £48,000 per year
Senior Buyer / Purchasing Manager is required for a bespoke lighting manufacturer based in Hertfordshire, knowledge of the lighting or engineering would be advantageous.
This procurement role would suit an experienced buyer or purchasing manager that has proven experience with the purchasing of components whilst working closely with the production department. As the role is working within the lighting industry any previous experience dealing with suppliers of CNC, metal working, die casting or aluminium extrusions would be extremely advantageous.
The Buyer / Procurement Manager will be working closing with various departments ensuring excellent supplier management and contract negotiation and responsible for annual spend of circa £2m.

Contract Negotiation and Supplier Management
Liaise and support the Sales team
Negotiate final price of supplier’s quotes
Ensuring suppliers meet ISO standards
Helping to source alternative components for customers
Regularly contacting suppliers to renegotiate prices
Senior Buyer / Purchasing Manager Position Requirements
Experience as a Buyer or Purchasing Manager
Purchasing experience of components
Knowledge of the lighting sector as well as dealing with CNC, metal working, die casting or aluminium extrusions suppliers would be advantageous
Knowledge in MS Office, Word, Excel, and Purchasing/MRP/ERP related business systems.

Starting Salary of £42,000 – £48,000.
