Business Analyst wanted!

Our Credit Card team are well on their way to achieving their ambition to disrupt the market – smashing targets, winning industry awards and successfully building a credit card business, but we’re not done yet. We have big growth plans and we can’t do this without a truly awesome team of talented people to make it happen.

We are looking for a Senior Business Operations Analyst to join our team in a hybrid role to support/lead on change and fulfilment tasks. This role is delightfully surprising and rewarding, and we are looking for you to bolster our existing brilliant team in Chester and the North West with someone with demonstrable experience of delivering change, to help turn business strategies and goals into system or process solutions.

If you think you can bring something to the role and have experience of helping businesses solve problems using systems and process solutions, we’d love to hear from you! Experience in implementing projects or change in the credit card industry or in a fulfilment role would also be a great advantage.

Come and be part of a team that’s building something special.

What you’ll be doing

  • Working with credit card systems and parameters
  • Developing test plans, implementation strategies and user documentation
  • Working on projects to grow the business and deliver for our customers
  • Taking the lead and delivering solutions through build, test and go-live stages, using your expertise to deliver these quickly
  • Supporting data initiatives, utilising various tools/applications such as SAS enterprise guide using a combination of SQL Coding & query studio to compile, breakdown, or analyse big data, and provide useful insights which can be presented to management. These data initiatives include helping the team, reconciliation tasks and third party recoveries
  • Working with colleagues in all Virgin Money sites, as well as external companies including TSYS (Credit Card Processing Platform) and other suppliers
  • Supporting customer fulfilment items such as statements, letters, cards, e-mails/SMS

We need you to have

  • Experience of working as a Business Analyst in the Financial Industry
  • PC skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook)
  • A flexible and positive working approach to suit customer needs and business demands
  • Ability to work unsupervised and drive forward performance with the support of your team
  • Communication – You’ll be expected to communicate at all levels, translating complex requirements and solutions to colleagues in a simple, understandable way in your written and verbal updates

It’s a bonus if you have but not essential

  • System knowledge of TS2 or BASE 2000
  • Project/change management tools & methodologies.
  • Experience in functional and UAT test planning, test case development and execution

Red Hot Rewards

  • Generous holidays – 38.5 days annual leave (including bank holidays and prorated if Part-Time) plus the option to buy more
  • Up to five extra paid well-being days per year
  • 20 weeks paid, gender-neutral family leave (52 weeks in total) for expectant parents and those looking to adopt
  • Market-leading pension
  • Free private medical cover, income protection and life assurance
  • Flexible benefits include Cycle to Work, wellness and health assessments, and critical illness
  • Ability to work anywhere in the UK (where the role allows)

And there’s no waiting around, you’ll enjoy these benefits from day one.

Feeling insatiably curious about this role? Apply as soon as you can. If we’re lucky to receive a lot of interest, we may close the advert early and would hate you to miss out.
