Senior BI Analyst
Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst who will report to the Performance manager. As a Senior BI Analyst, you will play a vital role in designing, implementing, and managing the performance reporting structure of the organisation. You will be working closely with the Data Architect and Data Engineers to ensure the data integrity right from the grass roots of operational reporting to Strategic and operational KPIs. As part of your role, you will also be liaising with Data Stewards and Data Owners and the wider Data Community, Senior Stakeholders, Project Managers, therefore you will be expected to be demonstrably good at stakeholder management.
What you’ll be doing
- Provide the required data to support key strategic projects, in particular be primary support to any projects related to performance.
- Produce high-quality Management Information, KPI reports and provide analysis that adds business value, using Power BI as the reporting tool.
- Build strong relationships across functional areas.
- Provide a point of contact for key internal stakeholders and deliver a Senior BIA function.
- Support other BI developers within the team to understand key trends and share best practice.
- Ensure targets are met – to time and budget.
What you’ll need
- Ability to write complex SQL queries.
- Strong and demonstrable experience of developing reports and dashboards in Power BI.
- To be able to Identify requirements, detect problems and help deliver improvements.
- Oversee end to end process with minimal supervision.
- An ability to understand and articulate requirements to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Effective time management, prioritisation and organisational skills that ensure deadlines are met.
