About the Trust
At South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust we provide the widest range of NHS mental health services in the UK. We also provide substance misuse services for people who are addicted to drugs and alcohol. Our staff serve a local population of nearly two million people. We have more than 230 services including inpatient wards, outpatient, and community services. We provide inpatient care for over 5,000 people each year and we treat more than 45,000 patients in the community in Lambeth, Southwark, Lewisham, and Croydon. As well as serving the communities of south London, we provide more than 50 specialist services for children and adults across the UK and beyond.
What you’ll be responsible for:
- Provide administrative support to senior management and team members
- Attend daily handover meeting and take notes
- Logging IT faults
- Tracking patients section expire dates
- Arranging ward rounds and sending Teams invites out
- Arranging meetings, sending agendas and taking minutes
- Ad hoc admin duties
You’ll learn the following whilst working at the trust:
- An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS
- Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times
- A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation
You’ll have the following skills/experience:
- Excellent organisational skills
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Previous admin experience essential
- Experience minute taking Essential
- Microsoft Office package knowledge e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel
