SEN Teaching Assistant – English Martyrs Catholic Primary School

25 hours per week – 8.30am to 1.30pm Monday to Friday – Term time only – Required asap – Fixed term until July 2024

We currently have a vacancy for a SEN (Special Educational Needs) Teaching Assistant, to join our committed and highly professional team, working with children with significant needs.

We are looking to appoint a caring team player, with a flexible attitude who is able to respond to the needs of the child. Training will be given and you will be supported by a dedicated SEN team.

Experience of working with children on the Autistic spectrum and/or pre-school children would be an advantage, though not essential.

We have two classes per year group from Reception to Year 6, as well as a Nursery (term time only). Our school community is wonderfully and richly diverse with families from all over the world, of all faiths and none.

The successful candidate will:

• Have a sound working knowledge of supporting young children’s learning
• Demonstrate good interpersonal skills with team members and parents
• Have previous experience of working with young children and those with behaviour issues in particular
• Have a good standard of spoken and written English
