Tradewind are recruiting for a SEN Teaching Assistant in the Trafford area
We are working with an outstanding primary special needs school in Trafford who are looking to hire someone to fill a new SEN Teaching Assistant post. It is to start in September on a full time and long term basis with the potential to turn permanent eventually for the right person. Pay up to £26,000 per year.
To join us and be successful in this SEN Teaching Assistant role, you will need to:
- Have an enhanced DBS certificate (or be happy to apply for a new one), Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional references checks.
- Provide a CV with at least 10 years employment/education history included and any employment breaks must be explained.
- Have the legal right to work in the UK.
- Candidates from school or care backgrounds will be considered as there is a large element of care required as well as academic support in class.
- Ideally you will have worked with people with Autism in the past as a minimum and experience with other forms of Complex Needs would also be beneficial.
As the new SEN Teaching Assistant you will be required to provide support in class to up to 8 pupils with Autism & Complex Needs which might include sensory needs, communication needs or social & emotional needs. At times you will need to support pupils on a 1:1 basis.
