SEN TEACHING ASSISTANT

Start 2024 with a new fantastic opportunity as a SEN Teaching Assistant. Positively impact the academic development of students with additional learning needs in schools across the Stoke area.

The SEN teaching assistant role will allow you to work with pupils on either a 1-1 or group basis supporting them socially, emotionally and academically.

This SEN Teaching Assistant is ideal for those wishing to carve a career in teaching or within a psychology discipline.

SEN Teaching Assistant Responsibilities:

  • Work with students who have additional learning and behavioural needs
  • 1:1 and group work
  • Support the schools teachers
  • Offering a calm learning environment
  • Build and develop classroom knowledge and skills

SEN Teaching Assistant Requirements:

  • Prior SEN / education experience
  • Compassionate and patient manner
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work as an individual and part of a team
  • Good availability – long-term and short-term roles
  • DBS required
