SEN Teaching Assistant

Salary: £26,000 – £43,680 per year

We are looking for individuals with a background in care/working with young people with SEND to support in a number of schools in the Hartlepool area in September.

The ideal candidates need to have:

– Experience of challenging behaviour AND/OR knowledge and/or experience of SEND

– Experience in a care or educational setting that they can build upon

– A sense of humour

– The ability to build rapport with children and staff

AK Teaching are looking for people with knowledge and/or experience of SEND to join several of the schools that we are working with across the Hartlepool area on a 1:1 basis or small group basis.

As an SEND teaching assistant you will be working on a 1:1 basis with children in schools with a variety of Special Educational Needs such as: autism, physical disabilities, EAL, down syndrome, learning difficulties, attachment difficulties and global delay.
