Recruitment 4 Education are currently recruiting for 2x SEN Teaching positions to work at a fantastic SEN School in Birmingham. The ideal candidates would have previous experience working with pupils with severe Autism. Both roles will start on a long-term contract in September and if successful both roles come with the guarantee of a permanent placement. This is a fantastic opportunity to secure a permanent opportunity at a lovely SEN school.
We are looking for SEND Teachers who are passionate about the provision of teaching for children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities to:
– teach 1:1 or small groups
– plan and evaluate provision
– lead and model excellent practice
– guide Learning Support Assistants
– work closely with the school SENCO and teachers
We are looking to recruit SEN teachers with the below desired skills and qualities:
– Have knowledge/interest and experience working with Severe Autism/ASC
– excellent behaviour management skills with a proven track record of excellent teaching
– excellent interpersonal skills
– warmth, empathy and patience
-Knowledge of BSL, Makaton, PECS trained, Team Teach, SPELL/TEACCH would be an advantage
