SEN TA One to One

Salary: £26,000 – £26,520 per year

A SEN Teaching Assistant is needed as soon as possible, for a lovely SEN school we work closely with in the Morpeth area. This role is to provide one to one support to a pupil with SEND. You will be required to have an existing moving and handling qualification. There will be some personal care required too.

We have positions in this school with children with needs ranging from MLD, behavioural issues and PMLD/complex needs and can vary from short term, medium term and long term but we require staff that are flexible and willing to learn from experienced staff at the school.

The school also has a Hydrotherapy pool available for regular therapy which pupils may need support with.

Experience in supporting children with any of the above needs would be an advantage but is not essential – a willingness to learn and engage with SEN children is the most important quality we are looking for.

Although it is not essential, we would ideally like applications from candidates that hold a level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or Nursery/Childcare qualification. Other qualifications may be considered. We would be particularly keen for applicants with Experience in support work from residential care environments.

In addition, you must:

• Provide two referees we can contact

• Have a DBS form or be prepared to obtain one
