SEN 1:1 Teaching Assistant Vacancy

TeacherActive are working with a school in the Swansea area who are looking for a male and experienced Special Needs Teaching Assistant. In this role, the successful candidate will be working 1:1 with a male Year 6 pupil who is on the autistic spectrum. The successful candidate must have a minimum of a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) and experience of working with children with complex Learning Difficulties and Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties.

This position is for an immediate start

Male with experience in SEN
Be resilient and have the ability to think on your feet
Be enthusiastic but with a calm approach
Have experience working with children with autism

This position requires an immediate start.

Job Description

* assisting with schoolwork under the leadership of the SENCO & SEN teacher
* preparing learning materials
* carrying out a child’s care plan (education, social, behaviour and personal)
* giving information and support to teachers
* supporting during social activities and outings
* helping during therapy sessions
