Job Description
Ambition is partnering with a well-regarded, independent accountancy firm in North west London who are currently seeking a Semi-Senior / Senior Accountant to join their team.
The Firm
The firm is an independent firm established over 20 years ago has thrived by building on a foundation of providing a high-quality service and genuine care to their clientele. The firm provides a full suite of accountancy services and has grown through word of mouth and networking in niche circles. Offices are in North West London easily accessible by public transport and car for those people commuting locally.
The Role
As a general practice Semi-Senior accountant or Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for working on your own portfolio of clients in a varied role touching on all aspects of the services provided buy the firm. The role works closely with Seniors and Partners and provides career development and progression.
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:
- Direct interaction with clients on their accounts
- Prepare Year End accounts using FRS 102 and 105.
- Corporation Tax computations
- Personal Tax preparations including Capital Gains
- VAT returns
- Bookkeeping
- Payroll
- Little audit
The Candidate:
To be considered for the Semi-Senior / Senior accountant role, candidates will need to have started studying towards either ACCA or even qualified. and will have practical working knowledge within a chartered accountancy firm and in a varied role. Candidates should be able to demonstrate that they are a self-starter with a positive attitude.
Requirements include:
- Commenced and part way through formal accountancy qualifications
- Evidence of having worked within a practice environment
- Use of practice software such as Xero, quickbooks, CCH, Sage and IRIS
- Able to commute easily to North West London
