Exciting opportunity in Doncaster with Securitas! We’re in search of a dynamic Security Support Officer to join our team on a Fixed-Term Contract, with the possibility of becoming permanent. With 1 year of security experience, this role involves working Monday to Friday from 08:30- 16:30, with the flexibility of occasional weekends, totalling 42.5 hours per week.

About the Role

  • Carrying out all assigned duties in a safe manner, observing all statutory regulations and any local regulations that may be in force.
  • Escorting all contractors safely and securely at all times.
  • Monitoring and accounting for all contractor tools and items, ensuring what comes into the secure environment, comes out.
  • Vigilantly inspecting and maintaining the safety of the prison.
  • Effectively communicating via radio/phone/tablets, escalating any issues that arise.
  • Identify problems within own area of remit and take responsibility for finding a solution.
  • Processing all relevant paperwork to the relevant people.
  • Responsible for the external areas of the work zone, carrying out regular inspections.
  • Ensure that all paperwork is handed to relevant people.
  • Ensure that the work area is always in a safe & secure manner.

Essential Skills

  • Right to work in the UK and have a five-year checkable employment history
  • SIA Licence
  • No current criminal convictions
  • Full UK driving licence and access to transport
  • Able and willing to undergo enhanced screening and vetting checks
  • Excellent people and communication skills
  • Computer literate with high attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a team, unsupervised and on own initiative
  • Organised and able to work with confidential information
