Secretary – Airline Industry, Up to £35k, London
My client, a leading international airline is looking for a degree educated and experienced Secretary to provide professional secretarial support to the GM and his office and to assist Senior Administrator.
The responsibilities of the Secretary – Airline Industry are as follows:
*Undertake a full range of secretarial duties including the drafting, preparing and writing of all letter/emails/ memo’s all work relating to Visa’s, arrangement of travel and accommodation for VIP’s, and Staff tickets
*Provide reception service for visitors coming to see the GM
*Answer telephone enquiries and direct to the appropriate person/section
*Performs clerical duties including maintenance of records/documentation and information filing (both hard copies and electronic system) and photocopying
*Liaise with overseas departments and agencies on GMs behalf when directed and act as a Representative at industry functions/events.
*Support and assist the Senior Administrator in organising Company events and meetings, or as directed by the GM
*Handle complaints that have been escalated to GM level, keeping track of their progress and reporting on the status
*Perform other secretarial clerical duties as directed by GM to support other departments and areas and provide cover for Senior Administrator.
The skills required for Secretary role – Airline Industry are:
*Educated to Degree level or equivalent in a Business Administration or
*Previous experience of working within the travel industry would be beneficial
*Business related subject
*Experience similar role supporting a commercial Manager and Team
*Excellent organisation and planning skills
*Excellent report writing and proof reading skills
*High level of numeracy
*Good interpersonal skill both on the telephone and face to face
*Intermediate or above on Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
*Good team player
