We are currently seeking a dynamic and qualified Secondary Science Teacher for a long term role at a great school in South Manchester. This is a unique opportunity to join a great school and become part of the school community!

This role will offer you the opportunity to:

• Deliver Science lessons at KS3 and KS4 level
• Cover for absent teachers, deliver pre-prepared lesson plans and ensure that learning objectives are met
• Deliver engaging lessons that inspire and challenge pupils of all abilities
• Manage classroom behaviour keeping pupils focused and motivated
• Work closely with school staff to ensure that pupils are progressing well
• Provide a safe and positive learning environment that promotes inclusion and diversity

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate:

• Experience working with secondary-aged pupils as a QTS or NQT
• Experience teaching Science across KS3 and KS4
• Strong Biology, Chemistry or Physics
• A drive for teaching and the ability to confidently manage classrooms and behaviour strategies
• Resilience and passion to inspire pupils
• Eligibility to work in the UK (must have valid visa/ overseas police check if relevant)
• Relevant references covering your last two years of employment
