Sales Trainee

We are advertising this position on behalf of GGM Groundscare. This position is based in Colne, Lancashire.

GGM Groundscare, the Turfcare Service Dealer of the Year specialize in supplying tractors, professional groundscare & Golf machinery and after-sales support including Kubota, Ransomes Jacobsen, Dennis, Sisis, Major, Amazone & Husqvarna to customers throughout the North-West of England and Yorkshire. They are in and exciting stage of expansion and are now looking at recruiting for the position of Sales Trainee.

This is a great role for an upbeat, outgoing individual looking to gain experience in all areas of sales, business development and marketing. This is a fast paced role in a small family business so you will have exposure to a wide variety of tasks and responsibilities.

The successful candidate will be mentored by a member of the current sales team in activities including but not limited to:

* Showroom sales, visiting new & existing customers, Machinery demonstrations, and incoming & out-going sales & tele-sales calls.
* There will also be an element of assisting marketing with the following up of campaigns and exhibition leads.
* There are excellent development opportunities available and the long-term aim of this role is the progression into an external Area sales manager role who will be responsible for the continued management and growth of all customers in their own territory.

As a Sales Trainee your duties will include:

* Taking direction from and offering support to Sales & Marketing teams at all times
* Working mainly on site at Colne
* Playing your part in implementing the business sales & marketing plans
* Using own initiative to help solve and resolve issues that may arise
* Deliver excellent customer service & communication
* Open to work flexible hours at times when required
* To carry out ‘other’ varied activities as they arise

An ideal Sales Trainee will hold the following skills and experiences:

* Initiative and self-management skills
* Be a team player
* Sales experience desirable but not essential
* Computer literacy – experience of Microsoft Office
* Interpersonal skills – cheerful with a positive ‘can do’ attitude
* Ability to learn and adapt to new challenges
* Flexible to changes in working hours and travel when required
* Ambitious, keen, willing to learn
* Must hold a valid full UK driving license (Cat BE an advantage) and be willing to travel in company vehicle across area as required.

In return you will receive a Salary: £26,000per year dependent upon experience.
