Sales Specialist – Midlands

An excellent opportunity for a Biomedical/Clinical Laboratory Scientist with a strong background in virology/microbiology/molecular biology to move into a technical sales role with a global healthcare company – full sales training is provided.

Responsibilities:

PRODUCTS: Immunoassay, Microbiology and Molecular Diagnostics tests & instruments
TERRITORY: Midlands (includes West/East Midlands, Wales, Home Counties and East Anglia)
CUSTOMERS: NHS and private laboratories – contact levels include: pathology laboratory managers, procurements, clinicians, surgeons and infectious disease consultants

Meeting sales targets for this region
Managing existing customers and generating new accounts through prospecting and lead generation.
Competitor and market analysis
Work closely and communicate effectively with the field-based technical support and engineer team to ensure customer satisfaction
Technical presentations, demonstrations and evaluations of the product portfolio.
Attendance at industry exhibitions and conferences

Person Specification:
BSc Biomedical Science
Post-degree experience working in a clinical laboratory is essential, with a strong background in immunoassay or molecular biology
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Self-motivated and driven to meet and exceed revenue targets
Sales experience is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided

Package:
Base salary negotiable dependent on experience
Performance related bonus around £26,000 per year + an uncapped earning potential
