The Company

This company is a Sheffield based independent cardboard box manufacturer and general packaging distributor that has been established for over 25 years. This is an exciting opportunity to work as an external sales representative, developing business and looking after an existing account base in and around South Yorkshire. As a direct manufacturer they have a lot to offer their customer base and prospective customers and as the business is privately owned, they are able to make commercial decisions promptly and to support the business and its employees.

The Job

• The working hours are 08.30-17.00 Monday-Friday.
• Initially, the role will be to develop new business in and around the area.
• Longer term, the role will be to replace a retiring employee with an established customer base.
• The opportunity is challenging but highly rewarding, being part of a small independent company showing steady growth in a demanding and aggressive market.
• You will be mainly field based but will require days in the office for preparation, administration and following up on sales enquiries and internal communications.

The Person

• Experience in the industry is preferred, although we welcome applications with sales experience, specifically field sales, in other industries.

• Ideally someone who will hit the ground running from day one.
• Someone who is organised and able to prioritise their day.
• Someone with excellent written and communication skills.
• Someone who is confident.
