Sales Manager

Human Kinetics has an exciting opportunity for a Sales Manager to join their team based in Stanningley, Leeds. Offering a salary of up to £33,600per annum.

Human Kinetics is the world’s leading sport, physical activity, fitness and health publisher and we have a vacancy for an experienced Sales Manager who will develop and increase sales of our products through recruiting new business accounts across the UK, Europe and the Middle East. They will also be required to manage and grow sales from existing key accounts. They will be responsible for the strategic direction and running of effective events and leading academic promotion.

The Sales Manager will be responsible for the;

– Development and maintenance of book trade strategy and driving sales growth.

– Recruitment, development and administration of key accounts and special sales (sporting goods shops, etailers, etc).

– Management of academic strategy and lead promotion to this key market. Building relationships with UK and Non UK academics and academic librarians you’ll visit and develop initiatives to sell books, courses and journals to institutions, libraries and students.

– Coordination of event strategy, developing annual schedules, budgets and representing the company at trade shows, conferences and other events.

– Sales analysis and reporting.

The ideal Sales Manager will have;

– Proven sales and key account management experience

– A degree or equivalent

– A sales, marketing or business qualification

– A full UK driving licence

– Events experience

– Book industry knowledge

– Excellent verbal and written communication skills

– Self-motivation and good team spirit

– Good organisation and prioritisation skills

– Ambition and commitment to both personal and company development

– Flexibility in working hours and duties

– A confident telephone manner.

– This is a fulltime, permanent position.

– This is a mostly office based role. We are located in Stanningley, Leeds however some off-site work is required

– Candidates must be capable of lifting and handling boxes and standing for long periods of time when at events.
