Key accountabilities
We are currently recruiting for a Sales Manager for our Dudley team within a hybrid capacity with occasional travel to the Dudley office
The main purpose of the job is to:
- Set sales targets for your team in line with Company strategy.
- Lead, monitor and motivate your team to attain targets.
- Maximise margin opportunities and develop niche positions in the market.
- Compile and analyse sales figures and take appropriate actions from your findings.
- Establish a strategic sales and operational plan that enables sustainable profitable growth.
- Qualitative and quantitative market research; Estimate demands, discover consumer trends, gather sector specific intel and track competitor activity.
- Data collection and reporting; Strategic target accounts, projected sales, inventory, production, and actual sales in line with KPI measures.
- Hold the sales team accountable for all sales activity, including results, pipeline and activity.
- Manage and maximise margin opportunities and develop niche positions in the market.
- Work in close collaboration with the procurement team to enable effective sales and operational planning.
- Support and develop sales via Digital channels
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor customer volume and margin against plan.
- Build positive relationships with major customers and potentials.
- Set individual targets and apply team dynamics to ensure targets are achievement.
- Provide sales leadership and coaching over sales initiatives e.g., sales calls, cold calling, product marketing and customer visits.
- Continuously measure performance against objectives and ensure that team members have frequent 1-2-1 meetings covering performance, wellbeing, and personal development.
- Ensure that the sales team are always operating in a compliant manner.
- Ensure CLEAR Sales training and best practices are executed by your team.
- Ensure all sales activity is entered into KliCC CRM.
- Support site VAS and Digital champions through training and development.
- Monitor active/dormant/potential conversion ratios and continually improve upon these.
- Manage customer disputes and debtor days.
