Sales Estimator

Salary: £42,000 per year

ROLE: SALES ESTIMATOR

LOCATION: Based on the South Coast near Portsmouth. You may be looking for Estimating jobs in Havant, Waterlooville, Portsmouth, Chichester. You will have a full driving licence for occasional customer visits.

SALARY:  up to £35K, plus benefits and incentives.

HOURS: Mon-Fri 40-hour week.

Reporting to the Sales Manager, you will be responsible for providing detailed cost estimates of sheet metal fabrications, machined parts & surface metal finishing for submission as formal quotes to customers.

Duties and responsibilities include:

* Building strong customer relationships to promote the business with a focus on growth.

* Managing customer enquiries in an efficient manner ensuring deadlines are achieved.

• Preparing detailed technical quotations to engineering drawings.

• Negotiating sales to satisfy both the customer and company needs.

• Working with the technical team; Engineers, team leaders, managers, directors.

• Assisting with Sales Managers responsibilities in their absence.

* Ensuring customer orders are processed efficiently.

• Ensuring quote material costs and sub-contractor prices are accurate and up to date.

• Ensuring health and safety guidelines and company procedures are followed.

You will be a professional Estimator with a background in estimating within the Engineering/ Manufacturing sector. You have excellent verbal and written communication skills, be well organised, computer literate and proficient in Word, Excel as well as ERP software systems.

As an experienced Estimator, you will have a thorough understanding of H&S policies, statutory compliance and Engineering plans. You will possess real self-motivation and attention to detail, along with the ability to prioritise tasks and demonstrate strong problem-solving skills.
