Sales Engineer / Technical Sales Engineer required to join a manufacturer of hydraulic and electrical drive systems. The company is growing and currently has around 1400 employees worldwide.

The Sales Engineer / Technical Sales Representative will be selling high pressure hydraulic pumps, motors, valves and electronics. The role will be based near Oxford and so the candidate must live a commutable distance.

Initially, the role will be an Internal Sales role but it could lead to a Field Sales Engineer / Area Sales Engineer role covering the South of England in the near future.

The role would be ideal for a candidate currently working as an Internal Sales Engineer who is looking to move in to an external sales role.

Responsibilities
Taking enquiries by phone Preparing quotations based on technical knowledge of products and applications
Processing sales orders and writing job sheets for unit modifications or re-setting
Assisting with proposing new or alternatives to units undergoing repair in our workshop
Maintaining a quote register and using that to produce, chasing up quotes, maintaining price lists and price calculation tools on Excel
Maintenance of technical details and pricing of spare parts and new units on our website
Use of CAD (Autocad Inventor) to prepare solid models for customer use
Customer visits
Support of the OEM sales function
Account Management and sales development
Technical support of the workshop

Requirements
HNC / HND / Degree qualified in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
Experience of Hydraulics preferred
Previous experience in Technical Sales role
IT literate – Microsoft packages
Full driving licence
Enthusiastic and self motivated
