The Role: Sales Director

The Company: Our Client is a global leader in high performance products for predominantly the automotive sector as well as aerospace, and other medium and heavy industry sectors worldwide.

The Role: As part of the company’s continued evolution our Client is looking for a high calibre Sales Director that will take ownership of the Sales and Marketing function from both a strategic and operational capacity.

His/Her remit will broadly speaking encompass the following:-

• Manage, motivate and lead the Sales, Projects functions in the UK, (and parts of Europe) with a remit to refocus the company on winning new business through establishing and driving strategic targets.
• Develop and Implement a Strategic Sales and Profit Improvement Plan.
• Liaise directly with external customers across all target sectors with a major emphasis on both the 1st and 2nd tier automotive sector and the various distributor networks
• Be a Key Member of management team driving the business through World Class best commercial practice,
• Indirectly be the catalyst of change and Influencer across the Business.

This role is deemed integral for the future success and growth for the UK /European operation.

The Person:

• Strong Strategic and commercial sales experience within the automotive or related sector.
• Proven track record of maximizing new and existing market opportunities and providing a strategy for the introduction of new markets that will enable profitable growth
• Have gravitas and presence to conduct business and build sustainable relationships at senior level
• Develop the business profitably and create a good work place with opportunity and growth potential for the people within it.
• Strong leadership skills with a focus empowerment and accountability.
• A proven track record of delivery
• Proven track record of change management

Role: Sales Director
Location: South Wales/ South West/ Midlands
Salary: £90,000 – £102,000 plus benefits, company car/car allowance
