At our Golborne site (5 mins from the J22 or J23 M6) based on the East Lancs Road, we employ over 270 colleagues’ who produce a number of packaging solutions on a 24/7 basis for major international customers.
Main purpose of Sales Administrator:
To act in an administrative capacity supporting the Sales Manager/Team
Duties and Responsibilities (not limited to)
- Calculate, update and distribute pricing for customers
- Maintain internal price list
- Liaise with corporate head office and other European sites
- Monitor and record price movements
- Produce reports for customers on sales figures, material movements, stock levels and price reconciliations
- Support UK and Corporate teams, other Alpla sites and customers with sales queries
- Fulfilment of sample requests, maintaining sample stocks and/or requesting stock from production or quality as needed
- Booking of travel, including hotels, taxis, flights, conferences and meeting rooms
- Purchasing of sundry items (office supplies, subscriptions and catering)
- Reply to general enquiries addressed to the Alpla office email address
Experience / Education
- Strong administrative experience, dealing with sensitive data/inputting of figures
- Proficient and confident with Excel and Outlook
- Able to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Highly organised, detail orientated.
- Minimum Maths & English GCSE or equivalent (Business administration qual would be advantageous)
