This role is a predominantly home-based position with travel and visits to either our Macclesfield or London office on a bi-weekly basis. As this role requires working at locations across the UK, the successful candidate will be required to drive.
What you’ll be doing…
This is a great opportunity for a subject matter expert in Food Safety to join our Safety and Wellbeing team as a Safety Manager to act as an ambassador of Safety as a core value, such that their interactions inspire people across the business to further enable robust food safety & health and safety standards, performance, and culture.
We are looking for a Safety Manager who is passionate about doing the right thing and able:
- Experience at developing, influencing, and driving food safety
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders across multiple levels.
- Challenge self and others to drive continuous improvement.
- Communicate food safety processes effectively to a range of people.
- Handle multiple projects and adapt quickly to new initiatives.
- Thorough working knowledge of relevant food safety standards and regulations.
- Experience in food safety in hospitality, food service sector, or similar comparable/higher risk sectors.
- Thorough working knowledge of robust incident reporting and investigation.
- Experience with food safety and health and safety management systems and auditing.
- Experience in delivering food safety training.
Working Pattern: Monday – Friday
What can you bring?
Skills and Experience:
- 5 + years of food safety management experience
- Hold a recognised degree level qualification or equivalent in Food Safety
- L4 Food Safety qualification
- HACCP qualification
- Health and Safety qualification desirable
- Membership to recognised professional body
- Formal leadership training / qualification desirable
