As a Room leader you will be joining our lovely team looking after children aged 3 – 4 years. We would like you to work with our team to deliver outstanding childcare to all of our pre-school children; creating strong attachments and fun experiences both indoors, outdoors and at Beach School. They are all passionate and caring and are looking for someone to join the team who loves being outdoors as much as they do.

Room Senior Pre-School – Principle Responsibilities include:

  • To lead by example, partnering with the management team and other room leaders, supporting and mentoring your team.
  • To ensure children’s welfare is maintained to a high standard at all time and regular routines are established and maintained.
  • To keep children safe at all times, demonstrating understanding and following the Safeguarding Policies and Procedures.
  • To understand the learning and development requirements of the room as a whole, your key children, as well as ensuring team members understand the L&D requirements of their children. This should include planned activities, continuous provision and next steps.
  • To work with the team to provide a stimulating and varied programme of play and learning opportunities. Activities should suit the child’s stage of development and encourage extension of learning.
  • To work with the SENCO and your team to identify and support children, who may require additional help to meet milestones. For example ensuring targeted plans are in place or time is made for 1:1 support.
  • To periodically evaluate the room and resources to ensure they are meeting the children’s needs and come up with plans to enhance and develop to continue to meet children’s needs. Outcomes of these reviews should be discussed with management.

Room Senior Pre-School – Role Requirements

You should join us if:

You have experience as an Early Years Practitioner and hold a relevant Early Years Qualification (Level 3 or above)
