MB260 – Residential Quantity Surveyor/Estimator

Location: Solihull and surrounding areas

Salary: £24ph – ongoing, full time contract

Single Source Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor/Estimator on behalf of our client based in Solihull. They require an experienced Quantity Surveyor with knowledge of local council processes to support the business on a number of projects. This is an excellent and exciting opportunity to work for an established, yet growing construction business.

Duties and Responsibilities of a Quantity Surveyor/Estimator:

• Compile and complete competitive tender estimate/proposals
• Attend site visits, raise tender queries, review contract conditions, building up fully detailed and transparent preliminary, labour, material, plant and sub-subcontractor rates using an appropriate excel spreadsheet format.
• Prepare handover pricing document for issue to the Operations team upon successful award of any contract.

Skills and Qualifications required from a Quantity Surveyor/Estimator:

• Membership of a relevant professional body and/or relevant professional qualification is desirable.
• A proven track record of working local council projects
• Sound working knowledge of construction and contract law.
• Detailed knowledge and understanding of tendering and procurement processes and sub-contractor management.
