Role – Research Manager

Location – Mostly home. (Once a week on site in Southampton ideally)

Rate of pay – Circa £20 – £22p/h

Duration – 6 Months temporary contract

I am currently recruiting for a Research Manager to support our client, The University of Southampton who are a leading Russell Group University. As Research Manager you will liaise with a wide number of stakeholders and support the wider team to ensure the successful delivery of the research pathway. This is a pivotal role within the Healthcare, Enterprise and Innovation academic Service within the university and key duties will include but not be limited to;

  • Assume responsibility for the continuous improvement and delivery of the research management pathway
  • Work against a criteria to ensure that data sharing statements in publications are appropriate
  • To critically appraise and review research evidence, reports and data, and prepare briefing papers, reports and portfolio impact analysis.
  • Assess and analyse issues and problems to identify and recommend solutions
  • To initiate engagements and collaborate with stakeholders to support and develop the delivery of the research management function.
  • To facilitate groups to develop and identify new research topics and support engagement activities with the research community and evidence users.
