Rental Service Technician – Delivery Driver (Medical Devices) 

Position: Rental Service Technician 
Location: Location: Field based covering the whole of Scotland 
Job type: Full Time, Permanent working 37.5 hours per week 
Salary: £26,000per year 
Shift Pattern: You will be required to join our rota system which includes working one weekend in five and also one week working a backshift of 15:00-23:00. The remaining weeks will be Mon-Fri 09:00-17:00. You will also be required to participate in our on call rota. 

Our client, a global medical devices company have an exciting opportunity for you to join their Rentals Division as a Rental Service Technician. You will be provided with a company van for you to use to deliver and collect their bed and mattress systems to customers in Scotland. 

This is an interesting and varied role where you will have a lot of interaction with our customers and patients so you must have excellent communication and customer service skills to enable you to provide the exemplary level of service we strive to offer. Your personality, enthusiasm, energy and positivity are essential for us to build long term relationships with our customers and ultimately play a key role in providing the essential equipment required by our patients. 

We will provide you with a competitive package as well as a company van, uniform, and PDA. 

Essential Skills or Experience: 
– A methodical, logical and practical approach. 
– Ability to prioritise work and amend route plans accordingly. 
– Experience of multi-drop delivery and/or installations highly desirable. 
– A positive and team oriented approach, whilst being able to work autonomously. 
– Excellent written and spoken English. 
– Driving Licence: Required to hold a valid UK drivers licence. 
– Enhanced DBS clearance: Required. 
– Must be able to lift bulky bedframes and mattresses for prolonged periods. 
– Due to the nature of this role, there may be a requirement to undertake work outside of normal hours i.e. evenings, weekends and bank holidays and participate in the “On Call” rota. 
– You will be required to drive a large van and hold a clean driving licence (held for a minimum of one year) and be able to route plan effectively.
