Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) Staff Nurse

Permanent – Full Time Salary £30,000 – £33,600plus enhancements (Incremental pay scale) Hours 37.5 per year (worked 3 days over 7)

Set within landscaped gardens, the safe and supportive environment of the Hospital offers a comprehensive inpatient specialist mental health service for young people and adults. The service is dedicated to providing innovative, high quality care and treatment for service users with challenging and complex needs, in order to enable their recovery and re-engagement with the community.

We are in the process of opening up a new 10-bedded unit which is going to be an Adult Male PICU

The successful candidate will undertake and manage direct patient care, having participated fully in the assessment, planning and evaluation of care needs. Undertaking the delivery of care, including individual and group sessions to agreed quality standards as prescribed by internal procedure and health legislation.

Shared responsibility for the confidentiality, security and accuracy of patient records, data and information. Ensuring good quality patient documentation, which meets Regulatory guidelines and statutory requirements. The allocation and the ability to oversee work of junior colleagues and staff. Care, security and maintenance of equipment, drugs and other consumables on the ward/department.

The hours are full time – 37.5 hours per weekk worked 3 days over 7 (12.5 hrs per day) shift/rota basis inc. nights/weekends.

What we’d like from you:
RMN Qualified with at least 12 month’s experience.
Ideally have experience of working in a secure setting
NMC (Nursing & Midwifery Council Registered)
Experience through professional training in a related environment.
Knowledge of the Mental Health Act
Patient centric & commitment to delivering high quality care
