Registered Manager – Children’s Home

Salary: £39,000 – £49,200 per year

Registered Children’s Home Manager

Nottingham

£32,500 – £41,000 (depending on qualifications and experience)

Plus bonus up to £2,500 pa and on-call approx £850 pa

I am working in conjunction with a growing provider of residential care homes for children and young people in the East Midlands.

They are now looking for a Registered Manager for a stable, established solo placement complex home, which is rated ‘outstanding’ with Ofsted.

Duties for the role of Registered Manager will include:

• Managing a staff team
• Taking total responsibility for the management of the care and therapy within the Home
• Providing the optimum caring and therapeutic environment for the young people
• Dealing with all referrals
• Achieving exceptional outcomes for children
• Arranging admissions to the home
• Ensuring all standards and legal requirements are being met

To be successful in this role you must possess:

• A minimum of five years’/or equivalent experience in a residential care setting caring for a similar group and a minimum of 2 years management experience in a similar setting
• A good working knowledge of the Children Act (1989) and the Care Standards Act (2002)
• Proven ability to engage effectively with children and young people
• The ability to work as part of a team
• Effective communication skills
• Accurate recording and documenting skills
• A full UK driving licence
